Council Member James F. Gennaro visits the Queens Civic Congress at the Union Plaza Care Center in Flushing last week to discuss the continued threat hydrofracking poses to the drinking water of New York City and the rest of the state. Hydrofracking is the practice of fracturing subterranean rock with a pressurized chemical mixture to release natural gas for extraction.
