On this Veterans Day, Queens-Politics would like to recognize local leaders who served our country proudly. Like Memorial Day meant to observe those who made the ultimate sacrifice, Veterans Day is about reflection and a time to show appreciation or to merely say thank you to those who served.
For reference, anyone who served in the military is considered a “Veteran,” according to United States Code 38.
The term “Veteran” means a person who served in the active military, naval, or air service, and who was discharged or released therefrom under conditions other than dishonorable.
A special recognition to Councilman-elect Rory Lancman as the only Veteran from the Queens delegation.
Thank you all for your service. If we missed anyone, please email info@queens-politics.com.
